Yesterday I unexpectedly tried to book a Spanish restaurant.
Savor the freedom in Madrid, why not repeat myself in London now that everything reopens? In the end, croquetas are the family's favorite food.
The answer, courteous and euphoric at the same time.
The first table is on July 7th. Sign?
April 12 will be remembered in the UK as freedom day. Those who did not have an April 25, have now highlighted this anonymous Monday in yellow for other Europeans.
Gyms, hairdressers, pubs, restaurants and bars.
All the so-called non-essential services start again.
As well as zoos, museums and theme parks.
For heaven's sake, with rules and precautions. But actually with a lot of freedom.
But while in Madrid, however, some cases of Covid are still pressing on people, here the 16/30 age group is vaccinated. And then it's over.
I'm honestly speechless.
In twenty years I was not there. But I think the euphoria, the long queues at the shops, the smiles, the faces, the dances, the selfies remind us of that spirit of that time.
I am speechless.
Only, as a good disorganized Italian, I won't be able to go out for dinner until July 7th.
