The agreement between the European Union and the United Kingdom was finally found, after 4 and a half years from the vote the conditions were accepted with an agreement between the parties. The largest free trade treaty was signed, with a turnover of 668 billion pounds in 2019. A bilateral pact with zero duties and zero quotas, the largest treaty ever conceived in the world.
The agreement will enter into force on January 1, 2021 and with it the new immigration plan will start. Those who arrive for work reasons must be in possession of a visa, obtainable only with a job offer already received and an expected salary of at least 25.600 pounds, about 28 euros.
Tourists will not need a visa but a passport will be required and they will not be able to stay longer than three months. The Erasmus project will be abandoned by Great Britain. A new global program is in store for the future: Alan Turing, but until then future students will be forced to enroll in expensive UK schools to be able to join.
The agreement provides for zero tariffs and zero quotas on all goods that comply with the appropriate rules of origin. The fishing fleets of the European Union will have to give up a quarter of their catch in British waters for the next five and a half years.
The agreement provides for the participation of the United Kingdom in a series of European Union programs in the period 2021-2027, such as Horizon Europe, through the financial contribution of the United Kingdom to the EU budget.
Safety levels remain high in sectors such as environmental protection, the fight against climate change, the price of carbon, tax transparency, social rights and state aid.
A Christmas gesture of kindness and sharing has turned into a nightmare. This happens in Belgium, in the town of Mol, where Santa Claus, unaware of his positivity to Covid 19, has transformed a Christmas visit organized by the managers of the retirement home into a huge outbreak causing 121 infections and 18 victims.
From the photos found on the web, as reported by the Daily Mail, both the guests and Santa Claus were without a mask, an unconscious gesture that definitely favored the contagion.
The 27/12/2020 will be remembered as the beginning of the end, the symbolic day of a turning point in the fight against Covid-19: the VAX DAY. Among the first vaccinated in Europe we find the Czech Premier Andrey Babis. After him, 95-year-old Emilie Repikova, Premier of Prague.
In Germany it was Edith Kwoizolla, 101, who was the first to undergo the vaccine against Covid-19. In France, the first woman to receive the dose was Mauricette, 78.
