Supplì, arancini and croquettes of various kinds fried on the spot constitute the main offer of Batter, a cheerful place in Montesacro, available both to take away and to be enjoyed at the table, perhaps accompanied by a glass of good wine (surprising the choice of organic wines on the menu), for a delicious and different aperitif.
In recent years, several recipes have also been added, both fried and non-fried, for a quick dinner. The fried we tried were tasty, well seasoned and not greasy, the supplì stood out for the consistency of the perfect rice and the crunchy vegetables in batter were accompanied by an original really nice smoked soy sauce.
The restaurant is small, furnished in a simple and linear way, brightened up by yellow to act as the dominant color on the light tones of the wood, with a few very close tables that fill up immediately at aperitif time. On the walls stand the blackboards on which the complete menu of prices is described and on which the variations and new recipes available are reported daily.
Service: The staff is young, friendly but above all prepared and precise, both in presenting the dishes and in recommending the best pairing with one of the many organic and biodynamic wines available.
