This venue has doubled its location and offers a totally fish-based street food. The new restaurant is in the Talenti area while the "mother house" of Fish Lab remains in Ponte Milvio, one of the most famous areas of Roman nightlife. The menu is clear and comprehensive and includes sandwiches, salads, cartocci and from this year also tortillas, mini wraps filled with fish, fruit and vegetables, such as the delicious one with fried shrimps, lettuce, green apple cubes, leek sprouts. , spicy sauce and mint yogurt sauce we tasted.
In addition to the classic burger compositions - with cod, salmon and prawns - there are also sandwiches of the day such as the "lightning octopus" with grilled octopus, green sauce, potato and rosemary cream and crispy chips, good in the amalgam of flavors but with the bread left too soft and free of any vegetable presence that would make it less dry; discrete fried potatoes cut into sticks. To drink, in addition to bottled craft beers, there are few wine options, mainly white, and some fruit and vegetable juices.
Fish Lab, environment
Renovated a few years ago, it is now more airy and spacious than it was at the beginning. The long counter is arranged on the right when entering, while the tables are arranged on the left side, perhaps a little too close together. At the bottom there is a long shelf to lean on.
Service: Courteous and prepared on food, a little less on wines to be served which are presented only by grape variety, omitting the name of the producer.
